How to Become a Nurse Case Manager

To become a RN case manager, you will first need to obtain an Associates’s (ADN) or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). Many employers now require at least a BSN to be hired as a case manager. Once you complete the degree requirements, you will have to pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) to earn your license as an RN in your state. Most hospitals and healthcare employers will prefer case management nurses to have prior professional clinical experience.
